Vaishali Chakravarty

Vaishali Chakravarty is one of India's leading drama educator and a contemporary theatre practitioner. In her distinguished career, Vaishali has worked in several full length theatre productions with the Actor Factor Theatre Company and trained thousands of students and hundreds of teachers at the top schools and Joy Of Drama centres across the country. She is currently the Group Artistic Director at Actor Factor and the Academic Consultant with Trinity College London.

Vaishali is the founder of Joy Of Drama, a rapidly growing organisation dedicated to helping children and young adults to acquire the 21st century life skills. She also helps NDMC schools to give better arts and English language education to their students by training their teachers.

Vaishali is one of the few theatre practitioners who has trained extensively in both the traditional and the contemporary forms. In addition to learning under the great Manipuri physical theatre masters Sabitri Devi and Heisnam Kanhailal, Vaishali has formally trained in Drama & Speech and has subsequently been awarded the ‘Associate of Trinity College London – (ATCL) Diploma with Distinction’ and 'Licentiate of Trinity College London - (LTCL) Degree with Merit' in Speech & Drama and Performance Arts respectively. She has attended the Shakespeare Summer School at the Royal Academy Of Dramatic Art (RADA), London.
